Common questions
Is GigBoard free?
Which cities is GigBoard in?
We’re launching in Nashville first to build a dense, active community of musicians, then expanding city by city. Download the app to be ready when we reach yours.
How do auditions work?
When you find a gig you want, you tap “Audition for this gig.” To keep quality high, auditioning requires at least one performance video on your profile — so bandleaders can see real signal before they commit.
Is there a web version?
Yes — you can use GigBoard on the web at app.gigboard.live. The native iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
How do I find last-minute gigs?
The Urgent Board is built for exactly this. It surfaces paid gigs that need a player within 72 hours — filter by your instrument and distance, and you can audition in seconds. Download GigBoard on iOS or Android to get notified the moment an urgent slot opens near you.
How do I find session musicians quickly?
Post a gig on GigBoard and specify the instrument, genre, pay, and whether it’s a live or studio session. Qualified local session players can audition immediately — you review their performance video before committing, so there are no surprises.
What instruments and roles does GigBoard support?
GigBoard supports all common instruments and roles — guitar, bass, drums, keys, piano, saxophone, trumpet, violin, vocals, and more. Bandleaders post what they need; musicians list the instruments they play on their profile so matching is fast and accurate.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and data anytime from Settings → Delete Account in the app. If you can’t sign in, see our Account & Data Deletion page for how to request deletion by email instead, and for a full breakdown of what’s deleted versus retained.
