Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 20, 2026

GigBoard is a location-aware marketplace and social network for musicians, operated by GigBoard, a company registered in Tennessee, United States. This page describes our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report it, and what we do when it’s reported. These standards apply to the GigBoard app on iOS and Android, our websites, and every part of the service.

1. Zero tolerance

GigBoard has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. We prohibit any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children, including:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated imagery, and links to it.
  • Grooming: befriending or communicating with a minor in order to sexually exploit or abuse them.
  • Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or alleged intimate images.
  • Trafficking of minors, or advertising or soliciting minors for sexual purposes.
  • Sexualizing minors, including sexualized comments about or depictions of minors.
  • Using gigs, auditions, or messaging to arrange contact with a minor for any sexual purpose.

These rules apply to every part of GigBoard: profiles, photos, audio and video, gig and audition listings, reviews, and messages.

2. Adults only

GigBoard is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service, as set out in our Terms of Service. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

3. How to report

In the app: open the profile or gig, tap the menu, choose Report, and select Child safety concern. Reports go straight to our team for review. You can also block the account from the same menu.

By email: write to support@gigboard.live with “Child Safety” in the subject line. Include the username or a link to the profile, gig, or content if you can. Please don’t attach or forward images you believe show child sexual abuse. Describe where they are and we’ll take it from there.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement right away (911 in the United States). You can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

4. What we do when CSAE is reported or detected

  • We review reports of child safety concerns as our highest priority.
  • We remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts responsible.
  • We report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC’s CyberTipline, as required by U.S. law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A). Where appropriate, we also report to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
  • We preserve relevant information as required by law and cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

5. How we work to prevent it

  • Uploaded images are automatically screened for sexual or explicit content. Content that’s flagged is removed and sent to our team for review.
  • Text in profiles and listings is automatically screened for harmful content.
  • Everyone can report and block other users from inside the app.
  • Our Terms of Service prohibit content that violates laws protecting minors, and violations lead to removal and account termination.

We review and update these measures as GigBoard grows.

6. Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including the requirement to report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC.

7. Child safety point of contact

GigBoard has a designated point of contact for child safety. That person is responsible for our CSAE prevention practices and compliance, and can be reached at support@gigboard.live (subject: “Child Safety”), or by mail at 5018 Kincannon Dr., Nashville, TN 37220, United States.
